The Marine Fuel Flow Meter is used in telematics systems (GPS tracking systems) and as a stand-alone fuel monitoring solution. The Marine fuel flow meter is installed in the fuel line of the engine / boiler / burner, directly measures fuel consumption and generates an output signal which is sent to the telematics unit (GPS tracker). The Marine Fuel Flow Meter is used to monitor fuel consumption and engine runtime (fuel consumer) and is suitable for:

• water transport – sea and river vessels;

• locomotives and railway machinery;

• machinery for mining and mining;

• powerful diesel generators, boilers, burners.

Brass measuring chamber

The measuring chamber is made of a corrosion resistant and extremely tough material – brass.

Different designs of connection types of materials and fuel lines

Marine fuel flow meter body and line fittings can be made of duralumin (lightweight and inexpensive) or brass (corrosion resistant and more durable). Types of fuel line connection – thread or flange – specified in the order form.

Operation in differential fuel consumption measurement mode

Two units of the Marine Fuel Flow Meter are configured from the PC to operate in paired mode, without the need to select and calibrate two compatible parts. The differential fuel consumption measurement mode is used to measure the fuel consumption in the supply and return lines of an engine, if necessary.

Installing the Marine Fuel Flow Meter

The Marine fuel flow meter is installed in the fuel line after the fine filter:

• by “pressure side” diagram, after low pressure pump

• by “suction side” diagram, before low pressure pump

Marine Fuel Flow Meter Diagnosis and Configuration

The diagnostic function of the Marine Fuel Flow Meter is used to evaluate the performance of the flow meter and the applicability of the Marine Fuel Flow Meter parameters to the operating parameters of the fuel system.

In the “Diagnostics” menu, a table of the instantaneous fuel consumption is available, as well as the fuel temperature in the chamber, the self-diagnostic codes of the flowmeter, the log of recorded events – “Power on / off”, Modes interference “Interference”.

The Marine fuel flow meter is configured with the Service S6 DFM software available for PC. The following parameters of the Marine fuel flow meter can be set:
• Limits of operating modes – “Idling”, “Optimal”, “Overload”, “Tampering”, “Interference”;
• temperature correction and correction coefficient
• measurement units (metric / US)

Autonomous power supply (Marine C fuel flow meter models)

The Marine fuel flow meter is powered by the built-in lithium-silicon battery.

Estimated marine operating time until full battery discharge is not less than 36 months.

Combination Power (CK / CCAN Marine Fuel Flow Meter Models) – The Marine Fuel Flow Meter is powered by an external power source or built-in battery (in the event of an external power failure). The power supply is switched to stand-alone mode in the event of a low level of external power (less than 8 V).

Estimated operating time of the Marine fuel flow meter in this mode is not less than 36 months.
